The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core is fundamentally the same controller as the older generation Xbox Elite Series 2 controller at a much lower MSRP. The Elite Series 2 Core controller features pro gaming features like adjustable-tension thumbsticks, wrap-around rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. Microsoft was able to significantly cut the price by removing some of the accessories that the original Elite controller came with.
