Baby Yoda Tamagotchi Coming In January, Available for Preorder Now

We all know Baby Yoda’s name is Grogu, but if you said “Hey, did you see that Grogu Tamagotchi?” you would almost certainly be met with a puzzled, albeit brief, stare before recognition took over in the person’s brain. So for the sake of avoiding a mind-stopping moment, Tamagotchi has two Baby Yoda versions coming out January 27, and you can preorder them both right now.

Preorder Baby Yoda (Grogu) Tamagotchi

The Grogu Tamagotchi is similar to the R2-D2 Tamagotchi that went up last year, (which is on sale right now at Amazon), by the way.

There are minigames to play with Grogu, and “one that changes depending on your play pattern with 10 possible options.” I don’t know exactly what that means, but I bet it’s cute. There are also different “appearances” and “special guests” that stop by to visit.

Of course, the whole point of a Tamagotchi is to love and care for it, and while play is part of the equation, you also need to feed Baby Yoda, too. But not too much! According to the product page on Amazon, “if you feed Grogu too much Squid Chowder, the Squid will jump on him.” So watch out for that.

The Grogu Tamagotchi with case or in Nano Blue both release on January 27, 2023, and you can preorder now. My advice is to preorder as soon as possible, so you lock in whatever the lowest price is during the preorder period. In fact, that’s my advice for every Amazon preorder. You can always cancel it.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is also coming out in 2023, although that’s all we have as far as a date at the moment.
