Is Keanu Reeves’ John Wick anime prequel movie a good idea?

Keanu Reeves is returning to the John Wick franchise in a big way, being confirmed for both John Wick 5 and an anime prequel revolving around the impossible job he undertook to get out of the assassin world. While I have mixed feelings about both, the prequel is where I’m really uncertain of its need to be made, as part of the intrigue of John Wick has always been his mysterious backstory, which I always worried would be undermined by a prequel. With it also being written by Vanessa Taylor, who has a very rocky filmography, I hope that Reeves and Chad Stahelski have a closer oversight on it to make sure it’s a worthwhile story.
