Terminator Zero looks great. What other franchises could use an anime inspired pick-me-up?

The upcoming anime addition to James Cameron’s 1984 flagship science fiction movie will put a refreshing spin on the franchise. Look, we all loved the Connors and what dynamics they’ve brought to the table, but can’t the assassin from the future storyline work from anyplace else besides the United States? Nuclear holocaust is a global event, after all. That’s what director Masashi Kudo plans to show – how Skynet will be dealt with in Japan. There will be time traveling, there will be T-800’s, but there will also be a totally new and original story – which I am very much excited about (can’t wait for August 29th!). Looking at this from a broader perspective though, many American franchises were turned into anime at some point. Highlander, Matrix, Supernatural, Stitch! Are just a few of them. Is there a show or movie you’d like to see get an anime makeover? I would personally love to go the sitcom route and see what could happen with Friends or even The Office – it could be a dumpster fi
