LEGO Succulents and Orchid Sets Arrive Before Mother’s Day

You can play with any LEGO set, of course, but more and more sets these days are made to be displayed instead. These sets come in black boxes and are intended for people age 18 years and up. Two of the latest display sets are now available for preorder. They’re from the LEGO Botanical Collection; the new additions are Succulents and Orchid sets. They cost $49.99 each, and they’ll release May 1, just in time for Mother’s Day (which lands on May 8 this year, btw).

Whether you get them for yourself or for a mom in your life, these looks like pretty fun builds. As a bonus, you don’t need to water them, so you can even put them up for display if you’ve killed every plant unfortunate enough to be under your care.

Honestly, adding a little color and greenery to your workspace or any room in your house is always nice. The fact that you get to build these and shape them any way you want is an added bonus.

With the addition of the Succulents and Orchid sets, the LEGO Botanical Collection now consists of five sets. There’s the two above, plus Bonsai, Flower Bouquet, and Bird of Paradise. They’re not for everyone, but plenty of people enjoy piecing together a LEGO set and having something nice to display on a shelf.
