Xbox Series S for Just £167.34 (was £249.99)

Amazon has got a great deal on the Xbox Series S at the moment, with the open box but ‘like new’ console being available for just £167.34 via Amazon Warehouse. You’ll need to click on the ‘buy used’ section of the listing, but the deal is still available at the time of writing. This is likely just a selection of returns Amazon has had but found no issues with the console itself, but they have to sell it at a discount because of the open box. Considering the Series S usually sets you back £250, and this thing can play Starfield, that’s an incredible deal for a current-gen console.

How to Avoid Xbox Game Pass Price Increase (UK)

There isn’t an easy solution to this price increase news, as however you choose to tackle it it’s going to cost you money (unless you cancel your subscription of course). If you don’t want to lose Game Pass, but also don’t like the idea of your subscription going up in price, then your best course of action is to lock in your current subscription for as long as possible.

The max you can stack Game Pass to is 36-months, so you could essentially keep piling on the 3-Month subscriptions at a maximum of 12 times. This isn’t cheap at £298.20 in total (with the deal listed above). But, compare to that to the new cost of Game Pass Ultimate at £12.99 for 36-months: £467.64, and in total you’re saving £169.44 on your subscription for the next three years. Note, this is just an example of the maximum savings available here, not many of us have got £300 to just burn on Game Pass right here and now.

But it’s definitely still food for thought, and even if you just buy a couple of extra Game Pass codes for safe keeping, you’re doing your future self a massive favour. Plus, if you’re new to Xbox Game Pass, you can just buy a 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership for £39.85 and then join Game Pass; boom it converts 1:1 so you’re getting an excellent headstart already.

Best Xbox Series X Deals in the UK

With the £20 price increase, Xbox Series X consoles will cost £479.99 RRP, while the Forza bundle will likely jump to £509.99 RRP. So right now, this looks like an excellent deal vs what it’s going to cost in a matter of weeks.
