Amazon is offering the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G 128GB smartphone for only $449.99. That’s a $150 price drop from its recently revised MSRP of $599.99 (it was originally $800 at launch). This is a still a very relevant phone, released just April of 2022. It has features you’d normally find in phones that cost $1000 or more. If you want a flagship level phone but don’t want to spend a fortune, you’d be hard pressed to find a better equipped phone for under $500.

You’ll find some pretty impressive specs here that befit a flagship phone with a much more premium price tag. For starters, the build quality is outstanding. The back is a Gorilla Glass 5 frosted glass that resists fingerprints. The display is protected by Gorilla Glas Victus (Corning’s strong glass). The 6.7″ AMOLED display is the same size as the iPhone 14 Plus/Max but the OnePlus boasts a higher 3216×1440 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the same CPU found in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Right now it’s the most powerful CPU found in any Android smartphone since the Google Tensor G2 CPU is disappointingly lackluster. It’s paired with 8GB of system RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
The OnePlus 10 Pro uses the popular triple lens camera system. The primary lens has a 48MP Sony IMX sensor with optical image stabilization. There’s also a 50MP 150º ultra-wide lens as well as an 8MP image stabilized telephoto lens. The camera is capable of shooting 4K video at up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Finally the OnePlus 10 Pro is outfitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery that will last you 1-2 days on a single charge. It also supports up to 65W of fast charging over USB Type-C. The phone has the latest Google Android 12 OS preinstalled.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is probably most comparable to its successor the OnePlus 11, which came out earlier this year. It retails for $700 with no price drops in sight, and the $250 discrepancy makes it hard to justify given the incremental upgrades. Ohter similar phones are the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which comes in at $800 on Amazon. It’s superior to the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which costs $700 on Amazon. The iPhone is a bit harder to compare to. It’s probably closest to the iPhone 14 Plus, which costs $900 at the Apple Store, but the iPhone 14 does have a faster CPU and, of course, the iOS ecosystem. Is that worth an extra $450 though? That’s your call.
