The R15 is the newest model in the Alienware Aurora lineup. It’s currently the only model from either Dell or Alienware that’s equipped with both an Intel Raptor Lake CPU and GeForce 40 series GPU. This config features a 13th gen Intel Core i7-13700F 16-core Raptor Lake CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and 1TB SSD storage.
The Intel Core i7-13700F is the newest i7 processor. It features a turbo boosted clock speed of 5.2GHz with 16 cores and 54MB of total cache. It boasts a healthy speed bump from the previous 12th gen Alder Lake CPU and excels in both gaming and workstation tasks.
The RTX 4070 Ti performs better than the RTX 3090. Compared to AMD’s best card, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, it only performs slighly worse without ray tracing, but it performs better with ray tracing enabled. It also supports DLSS 3.0 (DLSS 2.0 + frame generation), something both the AMD cards and GeForce RTX 30 series lack, and that increases the performance gap for games that support it. It’s still a solid card for 4K gaming and significantly cheaper than the RTX 4080 or 4090.
