Deal Alert: Amazon Has a GeForce RTX 4090 GPU for Below MSRP

For the first time ever, there’s a GeForce RTX 4090 GPU that’s priced below MSRP. Amazon is currently offering the PNY GeForce RTX 4090 XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X RGB GPU (could they make that name any longer?) for only $1549.00, which is $50 lower than the price of the stock RTX 4090 at launch. There’s not very many in stock at the moment, and we’re pretty sure the price will go up once the remaining inventory runs out.

The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now. No other GPU, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It’s about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti. That could very well be the single biggest performance upgrade within a single generational gap for the GeForce line of cards. If you’re still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 FE review.

The PNY model boasts a massive 3 slot triple-fan cooler. That said, it’s one of the smaller RTX 4090 cards available, with only the original FE model being much smaller. That means it should fit in more cases than most other aftermarket 4090 cards. Is it worth it? If you game in 4K or high resolution VR, then yes, it’s worth it if you have the cash to burn. If you play on anything less than 4K, let’s be honest, it’s totally NOT worth it.
