Dell Deal Alert: Alienware Aurora RTX 3060 Gaming PC for $1199.99, RTX 3060 Ti for $1309.99

Dell Home is offering a couple of new Alienware Aurora gaming PC deals this week. Score an Alienware Aurora R10 (Ryzen Edition) RTX 3060 equipped gaming PC for only $1199.99. That’s over $100 less than the least expensive Alienware RTX 3060 PC we saw last week. It’s more than enough power for most games, but if you want something with more headroom, there’s also an RTX 3060 Ti equipped gaming PC for not much more. These deals will expire by the end of the week.

Note: This config comes standard with a 1TB HDD. We recommend upgrading to a 512GB SDD, either through Dell (+$80) or on your own.

The RTX 3060 is no slouch; its performance is superior to the RTX 2060 SUPER and almost matches the RTX 2070 SUPER in some games. It will easily handle all of your games at up to 1440p. If that’s all you need, you’ll still save almost $200 compared to the price of the RTX 3070 config. It’s paired with a AMD Ryzen 7 5800 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD.

Although the RTX 3060 is a fine card for 1080p gaming, the RTX 3060 Ti is a substantially faster card. In fact, the RTX 3070 is not much better, and most of the time the RTX 3060 Ti is recommended over the RTX 3070 in terms of price vs performance. This card is powerful enough to handle 1080p or 1440p gaming, even if you’re gunning for 144fps. It’s about as powerful as the previous generation’s RTX 2080 SUPER.

The RTX 3080 is way more powerful than the previous generation’s best video card, the RTX 2080 Ti, and is the best recommended video card for 4K gaming. The RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3090 are the only cards that are (very slightly) more powerful, but they cost hundreds of dollars more. Depending on which config you choose, the RTX 3080 is paired with an AMD Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9 or an 11th gen Intel Core i9 processor, all of which are top notch CPUs for both gaming and workstation applications. Every config has been upgraded with liquid cooling for the processor and a beefy 1000W power supply.

Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED Gaming Monitor

The first QD-OLED panel on the market

After much anticipation, Dell is now offering the Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED gaming monitor for $1299.99 on its website. Although by no means inexpensive, this is the first ever QD-OLED monitor we’ve seen and thus the price point is surprisingly reasonable for the new tech. Undoubtedly due to the hype, it has been going in and out of stock throughout the day, so don’t hesitate if you’ve been waiting for this release. The estimated delivery date has already been extended all the way out to April 30.

QD-OLED technology was a big hit at this year’s CES and Samsung earned the “Best of Innovation 2022” award for it. The QD OLED panel uses quantum dot technology to more efficiently produce higher peak brightness levels compared to traditional OLED TVs without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. Although Samsung is the one that publicized the new technology, it is Alienware that will be deputing it first to the consumer market with this AW3423DW monitor.
