LG C2-Series OLED TVs Are Now Available
Here’s some good news for anyone looking for a new 4K TV with a jaw-dropping OLED display. The new 2022 LG C2 series TVs are now available (see it at Amazon). For two years running now, this series has topped our lists of best TV for gaming and best high-end TV. And judging by early reviews of the LG C2, that’s not likely to change this year.
Where to Buy LG C2 OLED 4K TV
The C2 has an OLED display with full HDR compatibility that can produce incredibly vibrant colors. It also has “pixel-level dimming,” which allows for absolute blacks — as in, the LEDs in the display can turn off entirely so no light seeps out anywhere. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports and a 120Hz native refresh rate, so it can render everything the PS5 and Xbox Series X can throw at it.
Basically, the LG C2 has everything you could possibly want in a TV in 2022.
LG C1 is On Sale
While the C2 is the hot new thing, last year’s LG C1 is still a powerhouse in every respect. And with the introduction of the new models, the C1-series line is on sale and available for hundreds of dollars cheaper at each size.
The C2 has a few additional features, like a 30% brightness increase over the C1. It’s available in smaller and larger sizes, which may be useful for some buyers. Its HDMI 2.1 ports also support the full 48Gbps bandwidth, while the C1’s ports are limited to 40Gbps. But honestly, most people are unlikely to notice or care about that.
The improvements have been pretty incremental year over year, so if you already own an LG CX or C1, there’s probably no reason to upgrade just yet. But if your current TV is getting up there in years and you’re ready to make your games and 4K content shine, you can’t go wrong with either the LG C2 or C1.
